Returning to the Place He Calls Home
October 20, 2026Could 2027 be the year you serve on a short-term mission trip?
Whether you are a student, interested in medical missions, or part of a church ready to send a team, BMA Global offers opportunities to serve alongside missionaries and local leaders in their ongoing work.
The impact of a short-term trip can extend far beyond what participants see. Your presence may encourage a missionary at just the right time, help a local leader begin ministry in a new area, or give someone an opportunity to hear the gospel for the first time. Serving can also deepen your understanding of missions and help you discover ways to stay involved long after you return home.
Students: Go with VSM
What better way to spend your summer than serving cross-culturally? For many students, a short-term mission trip sparks a lifelong love for God’s people and His world and helps them recognize their own role in the Great Commission.
Volunteer Student Missions provides opportunities for students to serve alongside missionaries and ChangeMakers while experiencing a new culture. Explore the 2027 trips and register at letsgovsm.com.
Serve through Medical Missions
You do not have to be a medical professional to serve on a Baptist Medical Missions International team. There are many ways for volunteers without medical training to contribute.
Medical and non-medical volunteers work together to provide practical care and share Jesus with people who may have never heard of Him. Each patient receives prayer and hears the gospel, while local ministry leaders continue following up after the clinics end and the teams return home.
BMMI will offer medical mission trips throughout 2027. Dates and locations will be available soon.
Take a Team from Your Church
Is your church interested in taking a mission trip but unsure where to begin? BMA Global can connect your team with a field and help you plan a trip that supports the ministry there.
Start the conversation now. We would love to walk alongside your church as you serve on a field and build a lasting missions partnership. A pastor in rural Arkansas recently said, “If a church becomes missions minded, that church comes alive.” Let that sink in.
Take the Next Step
BMA Global provides training and support for all participants, helping you prepare to serve alongside missionaries and local ministry partners.
You do not need to have every detail figured out to begin. Pray about where God might lead you, talk with your church, and reach out to learn more.
